UK parcel network CollectPlus enters first shopping mall

CollectPlus – the retail-based parcel pick-up network in the UK – has launched its first dedicated Parcel Point within a major shopping centre.

The company, a joint venture between parcel delivery company Yodel and payment firm PayPoint, currently has more than 4,700 outlets within convenience stores and filling stations around the UK.

The new outlet at the Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield is the first Parcel Point to be offered outside an individual retail store, and the first of its kind in a shopping centre.

Meadowhall currently boasts 280 retailers, 12,000 free parking spaces and more than 25m visitors each year.

CollectPlus said the Meadowhall Parcel Point provides identical service to its corner shop outlets, and will offer another convenient location for customers to collect and send parcels and collect online purchases.
